Jojoba Oil
Country of origin: Israel
Luxurious and unique, jojoba oil is a botanical oil used for skin and hair care. It absorbs quickly without leaving an unpleasant greasy feeling, providing a sensation of velvety softness and comfort while helping to retain moisture in both skin and hair and protecting against environmental factors. Jojoba oil’s composition closely resembles natural skin sebum, making it well-tolerated by all skin types and conditions. It can be used for body and facial care, hair treatment, facial massages, or makeup removal.
Volume: 50 ml
Jojoba oil is suitable for all skin types, including dry and sensitive skin, as well as combination and problematic skin, because it is completely non-comedogenic and won’t clog pores. Its similarity to the natural sebum produced by human skin allows for easier and more effective absorption. This oil deeply moisturises the skin, restoring softness and elasticity, making it particularly effective for preventing stretch marks. Jojoba oil absorbs quickly without leaving an unpleasant greasy feeling, making it an excellent choice as a substitute for face and décolleté cream or as a finishing touch after applying serums. It can be used for facial and body massages, as a base for aromatherapy blends, and in perfumes. Jojoba oil can also be used as a natural makeup remover, gently and effectively eliminating makeup without irritating the eyes, leaving the skin clean, moisturised, and soft. Moreover, it is outstanding for hair treatments and scalp care, nourishing and smoothing the hair while hydrating the scalp. Jojoba oil is also indispensable after sunbathing, as it nourishes and replenishes the skin’s moisture.
Directions for use: Apply to clean skin or hair as needed. For massage, use on dry skin. For body and facial care, apply to damp skin immediately after bathing or showering. For hair care, massage into the scalp and apply to unwashed hair. Leave on for at least 30 minutes before shampooing.
DID YOU KNOW that plant-based oil absorb the best and fastest on damp skin? So, apply plant-based oils for skin care on damp skin immediately after taking a bath or shower. Before applying oil to your face, spritz your skin generously with hydrolate (floral water). If you’re using plant-based oil for massage, apply it to dry skin. This will help the oil penetrate the skin more slowly, reduce friction, and improve glide.
Light and extremely fast-absorbing, jojoba oil can be used instead of face cream even during the day. To cater to the individual needs of your skin, you can enrich jojoba oil with essential oils. Add 1 or 2 drops of essential oil to 10 ml of jojoba oil:
- For dry, irritated skin: lavender, chamomile, frankincense essential oils;
- For skin prone to redness: geranium, lavender, chamomile essential oils;
- For mature skin: rose, geranium, ylang-ylang, frankincense essential oils;
- For dull, lifeless skin: grapefruit, orange, lemon essential oils;
- For scarred skin: frankincense, cedar essential oils;
- For skin mites (Demodex): tea tree essential oil;
Use jojoba oil to care for dry, chapped lips. Apply generously before bed. It is also an indispensable tool for the care of weak and brittle nails and dry, sensitive cuticles. Pamper your nails regularly with jojoba oil baths or simply massage a drop of jojoba oil into your nails and cuticles.
TIP: If you want to improve the colour of your nails, add lemon essential oil to your jojoba oil. If your nails are damaged by fungus or onycholysis, mix tea tree essential oil into your jojoba oil. Add 4 or 5 drops of essential oil to 5 ml of jojoba oil.
HAIR CARE
Jojoba oil is particularly valued in hair care because it contains plant-based waxes, which help preserve moisture in the scalp, hair follicles, and hair itself. The waxes act as an occlusive, i.e. they form a protective layer that prevents moisture from evaporating. Jojoba oil is therefore a highly effective remedy for a dry, flaky, itchy scalp. It soothes, nourishes, and provides a feeling of comfort.
Ever so versatile, jojoba oil is also suitable for oily hair and scalp. If you want to control the production of natural oils (sebum) more effectively, you should regularly massage a small amount of jojoba oil into the scalp. This makes it possible to maintain the skin’s lipid barrier and fat balance, because the oil mimics the sebum and either compensates for its deficiency or signals the skin to reduce its secretion.
Hair oiling with jojoba oil is recommended for weak, thin, dry, dyed, and chemically or environmentally damaged hair. After the very first hair oiling treatment, you will notice that your hair is easier to comb, and softer, smoother, and less frizzy.
Hair oiling is an inexpensive and extremely effective hair care treatment that, when done regularly, gives hair a healthy appearance and shine, prevents hair loss, and protects hair from environmental damage, breakage, and so on.
We recommend oiling your hair at least once a week. Before washing, apply almond oil to your scalp and hair, put on a disposable shower cap, and leave on for at least 30 minutes. Then shampoo as usual.
IMPORTANT: The longer you keep plant-based oils on your hair, the easier it will be to wash them out! Let your hair “eat” the oil. If possible, leave the oil in your hair for a few hours or even overnight.
TIP: To cater to the individual needs of your hair and scalp, you can enrich jojoba oil with essential oils. Add 5 drops of essential oil to 20 ml of jojoba oil.
- For weak, thinning hair: rosemary, peppermint, thyme essential oils;
- For oily, thin hair: lemon, tea tree, bergamot essential oils;
- For a dry, sensitive, itchy scalp: lavender, chamomile, frankincense, cedar essential oils;
- For dandruff: tea tree, rosalina, cedar, lavender, frankincense essential oils;
- For hair that has lost its shine and vitality: ylang-ylang, grapefruit, lemon essential oils;
- For lice: tea tree, peppermint, eucalyptus essential oils;
Non-greasy, softening, and conditioning, jojoba oil is a popular choice for beard care. It soothes and softens facial skin after shaving.
FOR MUM AND BABY
Jojoba oil nourishes, softens, and smooths the skin, making it a wonderful emollient for the entire family that is well tolerated by even the most sensitive skin. It is a safe and popular choice for skin care and massage for babies and young children. You can add a splash of jojoba oil to your baby bath or use it to remove cradle cap (rub the oil into the scalp generously before bathing and leave it on for 10-15 minutes; then gently loosen with a special baby brush and shampoo as usual).
TIP: When massaging babies and young children with jojoba oil, you can add a drop of high-quality lavender essential oil. This will help your little one relax, calm down, and prepare for sleep. Add 1 drop of lavender essential oil to 10 ml of jojoba almond oil.
Jojoba oil increases skin elasticity and gives it a feeling of comfort, making it perfect for preventing stretch marks during pregnancy or when body weight fluctuates.
TIP: When using jojoba oil to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy, you can enrich it with a drop of organic mandarin essential oil. The pleasant aroma of mandarin balances emotions, helps you relax, increases skin elasticity, and gives your skin a healthy glow. This is the safest aromatherapy choice for pregnant women.
Add 1 or 2 drops of mandarin essential oil to 10 ml of jojoba oil.
Odourless, hypoallergenic jojoba oil is an excellent choice for elasticity-enhancing perineal massages before childbirth. Breastfeeding women can use jojoba oil to care for sensitive, cracked nipples (apply immediately after breastfeeding, rinse before the next feeding).
