Sweet Almond Oil
Country of origin: Italy
Volume: 50 ml
Versatile and essential, sweet almond oil is a botanical oil used for skin and hair care, as well as for making natural cosmetics. It has a slow absorption rate, making it ideal for full-body massages and makeup removal. Particularly suitable for dry, sensitive, and inflamed skin, as well as for coarse, tangled, and porous hair, almond oil nourishes, softens, and smooths, helping to maintain moisture and elasticity in both skin and hair. It’s a fantastic emollient for the whole family, well tolerated even by the most sensitive skin.
Pure, cold-pressed sweet almond oil is one of the most popular oils in skincare, celebrated for its numerous beneficial properties. Almond oil helps to lock in moisture, making it particularly suitable for dry and dehydrated skin. Its nourishing qualities enhance skin elasticity and provide softness, making it ideal for application on stretch marks. Despite its rich texture, almond oil is non-comedogenic, meaning it won’t clog pores. Abundant in vitamin E, an antioxidant, it protects the skin from harmful environmental effects. Almond oil is especially beneficial for irritated, red, and itch-prone skin, providing effective relief to inflamed areas. Additionally, it can be used as a natural makeup remover, gently and effectively eliminating makeup without irritating the eyes, leaving the skin clean, moisturised, and soft.
Directions for use: Apply to clean skin or hair as needed. For massage, use on dry skin. For body and facial care, apply to damp skin immediately after bathing or showering. For hair care, apply to dry, unwashed hair. Leave on for at least 30 minutes before shampooing.
FOR SKIN CARE
TIP: When treating especially demanding skin, we recommend “layering” products: start by applying moisturising agents (like hydrolat or aloe vera gel), then “lock in” the moisture with botanical lipids such as sweet almond oil. This method yields better results because it mimics the nature of the skin’s hydrolipidic barrier.
DID YOU KNOW that botanical oils best absorb into damp skin? To avoid a greasy or sticky feel, apply botanical oils to damp skin right after a bath or shower. If you’re applying oil to your face, make sure to thoroughly wet it with a hydrolat (floral water) first. If you’re using botanical oil for a massage, apply it to dry skin. This will slow absorption, reduce friction, and improve glide.
Sweet almond oil can also be used instead of a night cream for face, especially for dry and mature skin. You can enrich almond oil with essential oils to meet the individual needs of your skin. Add 1-2 drops of essential oil to 10 ml of almond oil.
- For dry, irritated skin: lavender, chamomile, frankincense essential oils;
- For skin prone to redness: geranium, lavender, chamomile essential oils;
- For mature skin: rose, geranium, ylang-ylang, frankincense essential oils;
- For dull, lifeless skin: grapefruit, orange, lemon essential oils;

FOR HAIR CARE
Sweet almond oil is an excellent choice for coarse, tangled, porous, and curly hair. After the very first hair-oiling treatment, you’ll notice that your hair is easier to comb, softer and less frizzy. Regular hair oiling is a cost-effective and highly efficient hair treatment solution that gives hair a healthy look and shine, while protecting it from environmental damage, breakage, and thinning.
We recommend oiling your hair at least once a week. Before washing, apply almond oil to scalp and hair, put on a disposable cap and leave on for at least 30 minutes. Then wash with shampoo as usual.
IMPORTANT TO KNOW: The longer you leave botanical oils in your hair, the easier they are to wash out! Let your hair “soak up” oil. If possible, leave oil in your hair for several hours, or even overnight.
TIP: You can enrich sweet almond oil with essential oils to meet the individual needs of your hair and scalp. Add 5 drops of essential oil to 20 ml of sweet almond oil.
- For weak, thinning hair: rosemary, peppermint, thyme essential oils;
- For oily, thin hair: lemon, tea tree, bergamot essential oils;
- For a dry, sensitive, itchy scalp: lavender, chamomile, frankincense, cedar essential oils;
